Map of Medicine
The Map of Medicine is an online tool for developing clinical best practice. During the course of my work, it developed from a static learning tool to an integrated clinical system. I led the key strands of UE work for this transition.
Smith & Nephew Web Optimisation
Smith & Nephew, a global healthcare product manufacturer, underwent a major project to improve the way it presented itself to customers online. I led the research, concept and design phases of the project.
Openreach call centre research
Openreach, a BT Group business, requested an intensive ethnographic study of their call centre process to reduce the time and resources needed to repair faults for customers. I spent a week in a Chester call centre modelling the different processes at work.
Smith & Nephew research
Smith & Nephew, a global healthcare product manufacturer, engaged a two-person research team to investigate customer attitudes towards the web as part of its web optimisation project. Along with another researcher, I planned, organised and carried out a series of interviews, observations and surveys during the two-month project.
Openreach web portal
Openreach, a BT Group business, requested a complete re-design of their customer portal. I led the user experience work on tracks looking at process re-engineering, template design and information architecture.
BP Global Internet Platform
BP’s global internet platform aimed to bring all BP group websites - over 250 sites in six brands from countries all over the world - onto a single platform. I worked on and eventually led the team that brought a consistent look and feel and experience to all BP sites.
